For many years, CADKEY was the most popular CAD 3D wireframe solution for the PC.
The product line still helps companies conduct business today and at some companies
CADKEY is still their main CAD application. The intuitive interface and simplicity
of operation made it an efficient and widely used design tool. In late 2003, Kubotek
Corporation acquired the CADKEY technology and replaced the CADKEY product line with
KeyCreator.
Many CADKEY users felt CADKEY delivered a great deal of capabilities, and
were very happy staying with the CADKEY product. Even though the product has not been
enhanced in some time, to a great number of CADKEY users it still fulfills their CAD
needs. Current CADKEY users still find themselves very productive using CADKEY.
 
For the last several years Kubotek USA has been receiving inquiries from CADKEY
users asking how they can purchase another seat of CADKEY. Or how they can “upgrade”
their “older” CADKEY seats to a newer version of CADKEY. Until now there wasn’t an
option for these users other than to purchase a seat of KeyCreator. Today there is
an option. Kubotek has introduced back to the marketplace a wireframe version of
the familiar CADKEY workhorse environment for customers to purchase at an attractive
price of $695.
