If you watch the developments in CAD data exchange across our community, you'll find the topic is heating up again. The interoperability problems facing Airbus are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the CAD challenges companies and their supply chain grapple with every day. Kubotek USA has recently published our annual interoperability survey. There's good news for CAD users who've adopted the direct modeling approach. The flexibility that geometry-based tools offer are finally gaining some recognition in the industry. You'll be seeing more in the press about the differences between parametric history-based approaches vs. direct modeling in the coming months.
