Issues Corrected

The Service Pack 7.0.3 corrects an error in earlier KeyCreator V7 releases (7.0, 7.0.1 and 7.0.2) by which diameter dimensions are partially converted to radial dimensions by the Update Dimensions function (Detail>Settings>Update). The resulting dimension represents an erroneous value but is not caught by the dimension accuracy checking features of KeyCreator. If undetected by the manual checking process, this error could lead to incorrect dimensions on prints and oversized holes in parts. Kubotek USA strongly recommends all KeyCreator V7 installations be patched with the KeyCreator Service Pack 7.0.3.

To check which version is currently installed use the Help>About function in the KeyCreator pull-down menu.

Downloading KeyCreator 7.0.3

Start by logging into the support area of the Kubotek USA web site. The LOGIN button is in the top right area of the Kubotek USA home page. Once logged in, select the DOWNLOADS option in menu on the left.

Option 1, Program - 257 MB Full Install

The KeyCreator Full Install Version 7.0.3 Build 7049 [257,198kb] can not be installed if 7.0.0, 7.0.1, or 7.0.2 has already been installed on the PC. The previous version 7 program must be removed before using the Full Install (Use Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs).

Option 2, Service Pack - 14.5 MB Patch

The KeyCreator Service Pack Version 7.0.3 Build 7049 [14,589kb] will convert a KeyCreator 7.0.0, 7.0.1, or 7.0.2 installation into a 7.0.3 installation. Note the 7.0.3 patch can only patch KeyCreator V7 and can not be applied to previous versions (such as v6.5.2 or any other pre 7 release).

Additional Notes

¨ V7.0.3 will use the same license file as the previous 7.0 release. However, if an update contract associated with a specific license expired before December of 2007, that license will not allow release 7.0.3 to be accessed.

¨ V7.0.3 does not represent a file format change from other V7 releases. However, V7 products do use a new format from the 6.x and earlier versions. Earlier versions will not read V7 files. Version 6 or earlier licenses will not run V7 products.
